Happy Halloween!

Another crazy weather day. It started out around 50 when we left the house, 65 by the time we got to the park, and 77 by the time we got home.

We went to the park for our homeschool groups Halloween party. Of course, I forgot the camera or I would show you pictures of the adorable kids. We had a dog, princess (Sleeping Beauty, maybe?), Sponge Bob, a ninja and a conductor. Adorable! Of course, my grouchy kids didn't dress up.

We also had a pizza party at our apartment complex. Lots of kids in adorable costumes came and that is when I noticed something.

This is the first Halloween where I have seen kids with bare legs and arms. In Ohio and Michigan we always picked costumes based on how warm the kids would be. If the costume wasn't enough to keep them warm, we had to make sure that it was big enough for layers. Here, they don't have to worry about staying warm.

I made a special trip to the store to get candy because I didn't want to not have any if kids came. Exactly five kids did... and they only came because I said "Be sure to come to my house because I have a bunch of candy!" Four of the kids live on the floor below us and one is the daughter of someone I know from the clubhouse. Good thing I bought candy that my kids like, and can be saved to use for our gingerbread house.
